Pendant Control
The crane is manoeuvred by a pendant control attached to the crane and held at ground level by the operator.
Overhead Gantry Cranes
We provide ITSSAR-accredited operator training on electric overhead travelling cranes.
Training covers pendant control, remote control and cab control systems, helping operators understand how to use crane equipment safely and effectively.
Crane Control Types
Remote Control
Similar to pendant control, but the remote is not attached to the crane, allowing the operator more freedom to work from the optimum location.
Cab Control
The operator is located in a cab, usually attached to the crane gantry, to provide good vision from above.
Course Options
Course lengths vary depending on the crane control type and the operator's previous experience. All options are based on a maximum of three delegates.
Pendant or Remote Controlled Crane
Novice: 2 days
Experienced: 1 day
Refresher: 1 day
Delegates: 3 maximum
Cab Controlled Crane
Novice: 5 days
Experienced: 3 days
Refresher: 1 day
Delegates: 3 maximum
